Dancing through life with Jesus by my side, I desire to share His love with people along the way. I’m not perfect, but am in the processes of being refined. I desire to be real, to be genuine. Currently I have the privilege of living and working with 8 amazing people I call family in a tiny town at the southern tip of Illinois – Cairo. I am what some would call a “prayer missionary”, which means my first focus of ministry belongs to the Lord. When I first started following Jesus, I had the whole thing backwards, the second commandment was first and the first was in second place. How does that happen so often in the Western World? He has taught me how to be more like Mary, as I tend to be more like Martha – running around the house making preparations for Him. The Holy Spirit has taught me the secret to abiding in the Father and allowing ministry to spill over from that place of being filled with His love. I really have nothing to offer this community, my family or friends for that matter, unless it is the Spirit of God which dwells inside.
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:41-42
HI Heather,
A good lesson to learn about: how to be more like Mary. Well, enjoyed that reminder. I think God is telling me something. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
God Bless
