Oh my goodness! You will never believe what happened yesterday...

My purse had been stolen out of my car about two months ago, and I was pretty sad about the whole thing because my camera was in the purse. Also, the purse was a gift from my mom and I really liked it. Anyway, back when it was stolen, a friend of mine had found a letter that had been in my purse - in the field right by the location where it was stolen. So I did some investigating of my own, and so did my roommate. We found tons of business cards, a book, and my Bible that had been in there, but no camera and no purse.

Two months have passed now. Yesterday my roommate comes home with my purse! Yes! She found it in that same field, right there in the open. What in the world?!?!? So, now I have my purse back and I am still hoping and praying for my camera to be returned. I love how timely this is! Right after I write this blog about Jesus seeking and saving what is lost. God, you are too funny sometimes!

Thanks for your response and encouragement Kristi! Have a wonderful Christmas!

Here is the verse in a few different translations:
(NIV) Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
(ESV) Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
(Amp) Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost."

So I was curious about the verse you mentioned, and I think it does just say "save the lost," not "save what is lost." But the principle is the same. My favorite verse for this is Joel 2:25: "I will restore to you the years that othe swarming locust has eaten." And I love that this verse is tucked away in the midst of Old Testament prophesy - the people knew Jesus was going to restore us long before He ever walked on the earth.

You should post more - you always have good things to say! And you're enthusiasm for Jesus is definitely contagious. Hope you have a blessed monday!

Thanks for catching up...I was starting to wonder about you...I know you are a busy woman...but give a sister a call!

Since when do you spell things like you are texting? You are the queen of edit. "Gurl"...it's like I can just hear one of my students saying that, "guuuuurrrllllllllll." lol.

I miss you lots!

Do you think your team is coming for a visit anytime soon?

Hey, I am going to be down that way next weekend! I know you have a training dealio, so I probably won't see you, and I will be like 2 hours away at the EJ Conference.

Love you.
