Do you know why we even celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Hmmmm…think about it. There are so many holidays we celebrate but fail to understand the foundational meaning. When you go out and buy chocolate hearts for your sweetie, think about what you are supporting – Walmart or the memory of a faithful servant of Jesus Christ?
Recently I was reminded of the Saint Valentine legend. This Saint named Valentine totally bucked the system in the Roman empire secretly marrying young couples. Talk about a matchmaker! This guy was the man, sacrificing for LOVE. He was eventually martyred, thus making him a saint.
